The fastest WiFi Cafe in Siem Reap

Most people must check Tripadvisor and other travel sites with WiFi to decide where to go while traveling.
In Siem Reap, famous for the Angkor Wat remains site, most cafe offer Free WiFi and power outlets.
You are free from searching WiFi and power outlets in Siem Reap.

Although there is no stress to find a cafe with Free WiFi and power outlets, there is something you should be aware of.
That is the speed of WiFi.

When I try to connect to WiFi, the WiFi speed is too slow to open websites at all.
Such a thing happens occasionally.

On the morning when I wrote this column, I could not open websites at a certain cafe in Siem Reap.

Fortunately, since I had Cambodian SIM card which can carry out 3G, 4G communication, I got connected to internet with personal hotspot, but it’ll become a matter of life or death for those who do not have Cambodian SIM card if the speed of WiFi is slow.

Therefore, we investigated the WiFi speed of the cafe in Siem Reap. We divided into cafe section, and we introduce each of the fastest five stores.

This time WiFi speed survey was done using SPEEDTEST site.

Survey method: SPEEDTEST is used. Measure once in each store where we visited.
Survey device: Mac Book Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015)

Fastest WiFi Cafe in Phnom Penh

Cafe is one of the classic places for digital nomads. In Siem Reap there are many coffee shops running by NGO and Cambodian local cafe chain.

As I mentioned at the beginning, there are plenty of places where the power outlet is fully equipped, so it can be said that there is almost no worry about finding power outlet.

The fastest WiFi cafe in Siem Reap was The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Siem Reap. (Temporary)
According to my experience living in Siem Reap for 2 years, my reccommendation is Joe to Go Restaurant and Café. There are power outlets for each table on the first floor, the height of the table and the chair is also designed to be the optimum height to work. I can say that Joe to Go is the best place to work in Siem Reap.
