So let’s get started to introduce the way to buy a but ticket at TrueMoney agent. There are following 4 steps.
First of all, you have to go to your nearest TrueMoney agent. Not all, but some agents are on Google Maps. So you can find the agent with Google Maps.
When you arrive at TrueMoney agent, let’s tell the agent the destination, date and time of the ticket you want to buy.
Next, the agent will tell you the ticket price. So just pay it by cash. The ticket price depends on the destination but normally the price is between 6 USD to 30 USD.
After payment, the agent will give you a printed ticket. When we tried to buy a bus ticket at TrueMoney agent, the agent told us they sent SMS to our mobile phone. But actually, we have not received any SMS.
That’s all. It’s not complicated, isn’t it?
The agent said that when we board the bus, all we do is just showing the printed ticket. And they told us we would be able to ride the bus with our phone number without the printed ticket even if we lost the printed ticket. However, we have not tried this way so we recommend you to keep the printed ticket.
In this chapter, we’ll honestly share our impression of this experience.
On the departure day, I was able to board the bus with just showing the ticket as the agent said. It’s completely same when I bought a bus ticket with BMB’s app.
To be honest, if you can access the Internet, buying a bus ticket with BookMeBus app or website is more convenient than this way. So I don’t recommend this way. Through this partnership of BookMeBus and TrueMoney, BMB aims to get more local customers who can’t access the Internet. It means that people who have the access of Internet including us are not their target.
I think this partnership changes the way of buying a bus ticket for people don’t have internet access, there is a big challenge to reach those people and teach them how to buy a ticket, though.
